Beijing Branch reports painting is the most direct way of expression
of emotion, is the best for showing the colorful life. On the afternoon of
November 30th, 2017, "the Side of the Road -- Wang Wensheng’s Works
Exhibition” will be opened at Zhang Xiong Museum of Art in Beijing, which
sponsored by Beijing Xiamen Chamber of Commerce and Zhang Xiong art and culture
company Limited by Shares. "I've been on my way all the time, although
it's all the way, but it's not the same……""the side of the road"
as the theme of the exhibition, will show the creation of Wang Wensheng’s works
more than 30 pieces from 2014 until now.

"Painting
is my life's work, it can make me happy and enjoyable, what kind of things are
happier than such a state of mind? So the more work, more is being moved, when
a picture is formed, the heart of joy is nothing comparable to this freedom, it
is an invisible force to let me in, not to extricatehimself." In the view
of contemporary artist Wang Wensheng, painting is the best way of expression.
He likes to talk with the real society in the way of painting, and communicate,
examine and think peacefully.

Wang
Wensheng did not create for a sense, but to express his own emotions. His
painting has a subtle elegance, no strong color contrast, there is no strong
black and white contrast, various level showing very close, like Whistler's
painting titled "gray harmony". The color is very light, but not
gloomy, because he uses the complementary colors in the pale, pale in color is
very loud, as if covered with a sun in the ordinary life scene, in the light of
the sun, everything looks bright and light, even the projection, also
reflecting the sky, the bright area against the complementary colors, forming
beautiful color gamut.
Wang
Wensheng has his own understanding of the color world, he pursues the
correspondence of color and mood, and does not deliberately express a formula
of some color. He was very relaxed with his brush and almost didn't shape. He
left some white dots between strokes and strokes, which seemed to be very
hopping on the picture. It made people think that he didn't tidythe painting,
finished in one time,he kept it in the most simple and direct state. Wang
Wensheng's brush is the same as his color, the chirality and the heart to reach
agreement, simplicity and frankness.

The
landscape painting is particular about "take advantage of a scene to
express one's emotion”,but Wang Wensheng’s landscape has no sorrow, no joy,
more performance is a broad, quiet leisurely mood. To be sure, Wang Wensheng's
landscape is between realism and freehand. Because of this, there is a feeling
of intertwined reality and dream when you look at his works. Not like the
western landscape painting that held all the minor details depict, not like
Chinese ink landscapejust a few stroke of freehand, the image in the obscurity,

Love
nature, and naturally give us natural. Wang Wensheng uses a brush to interpret
his understanding of nature. There is water in the air, and trees absorb the
past information,the road records the signs of pedestrians, even though no
traces of human beings,, but people never leave the sight of the picture.
Wang
Wensheng with the broad feelings of the northern scholars, including love of
nature, wave a brush to depict a picture of quiet and calm scenery. He
described the scenery, whether it beoverlooking heartily, or the elegance of
through the green lake to see shade, conveys an open-minded attitude towards
life. In November 30th, let us walk into the Beijing Zhang Xiong Art Museum,
from Wang Wensheng's paintings, to carefully understand the roads that he has
walked.

Wang Wensheng

He was born in
Handan in 1963.
In 1986,
graduated from Hebei Normal University Fine Arts Department and taught in this
school.
In 1989, he
graduated from the fourth session of the oil paintingassistantship seminar of
China Central Academy of Fine Arts.
Before 2006, he
taught at Academy of Fine Artsof Hebei Normal University, as a professor and
master's tutor.
